Challenge:

A considerable number of Calgary Foundation's donors were fixated on addressing the immediate needs of the community, understandably. Unfortunately, this resulted in a waning interest in supporting endowment funds—long-term investments designed to pay dividends for the community over time. The lack of a long-term perspective led to a decline in contributions to endowment funds.

Our solution:

A community impact report that championed the power of endowment, reminding them just how much impact their contributions could have when given time to grow. Leveraging the constraint of a coil-bound print format, we transformed it into a strategic advantage. As the pages of the report unfolded, a key message emerged: 'Your Impact Keeps Growing,' serving as the central theme to emphasize the enduring power of endowment. The report's vibrant colour palette, featuring 100% Cyan and Pantone 809 Neon, combined with a bold, condensed typeface, culminated in a visually impactful design system. This approach left a lasting impression on the minds of donors, reinforcing the significance of their long-term commitment to community well-being.
