The Plaza, a 95 year-old theatre in the heart of Kensington, recently re-opened with new owners and a revitalized love of all things cinema: Movies, snacks, and drinks. We were invited to breathe new life into this historic landmark, beginning with a new brand vision.
We wanted Calgarians to experience film. Not just watch it. We wanted them to See it Differently.
Inspired by the architecture and authenticity that The Plaza holds, the identity experiments with light leaks and film burns, while also incorporating Art Deco stylistic elements. The brand spans multiple touchpoints. From interior signage to social to a custom built website with showtimes and tickets.
