1 in 2 Albertans will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetime. That means 50% of us will need treatment. Knowing this, wouldn’t you want Alberta to have the absolute best in research and treatment? That’s an easy yes. If we made an investment starting today, all of us would be guaranteed a better tomorrow. That’s why supporting the Calgary Cancer Centre is so important.
The only caveat? We need to raise $250 million. A big fundraising undertaking in a difficult economic climate. Not to mention a public that’s currently experiencing donation fatigue. So, how could we develop a fundraising platform from the ground up that overcomes these challenges without falling into the trap of the ‘sad patient’ story? We’ll empower Albertans to own cancer once and for all.
OWN.CANCER kicked off with a bang. An epic :60 second commercial entitled “How does it feel” introduced the OWN.CANCER platform to not only Alberta, but to the entire world.
