How do you make shaving less routine and more ritual?
Avalanche Artisans was struggling to move their product. They had an impeccably designed line of shaving products, including razor handles and brushes made from materials like mammoth bone and moose antler. But they had no brand story. Men didn’t understand how to connect with the brand.
Facial hair communicates a lot about a man. The clean shave tells one story, as does the weekend scruff that makes it to Monday.
A man's facial hair is the compromise between his barbarian and his gentleman.
Shaving is their negotiation.
Rattlestick was born.
More like conjured.
A character was forged. Equal parts barbarian and gentleman, he was enigmatic, supernatural, and equally at home in high-powered boardrooms as in a backcountry boreal forest.
Along with his emblem came a language: a series of glyphs that spoke to the origins of each product.
This language is never explained. Rather, it just exists.
